   "value": "<p style='text-align: justify;'>This German-made phantom larynx is a teaching model once used to teach medical students how to inspect the larynx using a small laryngeal mirror in a procedure known as indirect laryngoscopy. This procedure is used by Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) doctors to diagnose cancer of the larynx, singers nodules, laryngeal paralysis and other serious conditions. The medical student carefully inserts a small round mirror to the back of the mouth of the phantom. Small picture cards can be inserted into the lower slot, which show the normal larynx, or various diseases to be identified. The mouth has a velvet \u2018tongue\u2019 that student would need to depress, and \u2018teeth\u2019 to be negotiated, to make the experience more realistic.<\/p>"
