   "value": "<p style='text-align: justify;'>The Egyptian god Bes was traditionally depicted as an aggressive being, effective at warding off evil spirits \u2013 especially from new mothers and young children. As is usual for Pharaonic depictions of Bes he is shown naked. He holds Macedonian-style sword and rounded shield, so probably dates to the Ptolemaic Period, a dynasty of kings that followed Alexander the Great whose origins were in Macedon, Greece.<\/p>"
