   "value": "<p style='text-align: justify;'>Mummified body of a man with a painted panel showing a mature, bearded individual. The style of the painting indicates a date during the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (117-138 CE). The panel is set within a helmet-like cartonnage hood, very similar to masks with the face moulded in plaster and gilded. This implies that production of both panel and moulded head coverings were contemporary. In both cases, the back, sides and lower front part of the mask are covered with Pharaonic-style images of deities.<\/p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This theme is continued on the outer shroud, which is reddish-pink. It carries a depiction of an elaborate broad collar and traditional Pharaonic funerary scenes showing the deceased protected by, and in the company of, the Egyptian gods. The plaster footcase is damaged but shows the feet of the deceased and once likely carried a representation of bound enemies on the underside.<\/p><p style='text-align: justify;'>The body was last CT-scanned at Manchester Children's Hospital on 3/5/12.<\/p>"
