Christ with St Peter & St Paul. Nineteenth century forgery, copied from a twelfth century ivory panel from Trier in Germany. Christ, bearded and with cruciferous nimbus, standing, facing the front, on the cupols of a Byzantine circular temple. His nimbus touching the top of the frame. In his right hand he holds two large keys and in His left a scroll inscribed \"STA TR[..]\". At the sides, on small mounds stand SS. Peter and Paul, their heads without halos, reaching to Christ's waist. On his right, Peter who is beardless, raises his arms, covered by his mantle, to the keys. On His left, Paul, who is bearded, reaches out similarly towards the scroll.
