The manuscript consists of letters, papers and other records, including original placards and notices, in respect of the Peterloo Massacre of 1819. It was originally assembled by the Rev William Robert Hay and later in the possession of J.T. Smith, of Rochdale, from whom they were later acquired by A.P. Wadsworth. <\/p>"
