The vellum of this ketubah has the overall shape of an onion-domed building. The text is enclosed in the centre and surrounded with a red frame and a blue outer frame. The space between the red and blue frames is filled with gold cut-out lettering with an Aramaic blessing, green tendril cut outs and small red flowers / fruit and two figurative scenes in the top right and left corner, one a net-design cut out and one a cut out itself. The space around the blue frame is decorated with 17 net-design cut outs with figurative decorations. The top centre part has decorations on floral-design cut outs. Most net-design cut outs are bordered by a green peduncle with red and blue flowers. The ketubah has a green, yellow and blue coloured outer frame filled with symmetrical knot patterns separating the words of red biblical verses [Proverbs 18:22; Ruth 4:11-12; Numbers 6:24; Psalm 133:1]:
Top (in the onion dome): a crown with a floral-design cut out, with the words אשת חיל עטרת בעלה (a strong woman is her husband’s crown). The crown is a literal representation of the words.
Above the blue frame bordering the ketubah text (from right to left): Right: a net-design cut out bordered by a green peduncle and large red flowers. It encases the depiction of Aaron and Moses leading the children of Israel and following the cloud of the Lord. Moses (on the right) is recognizable by his horns, Aaron (on the left) by his mitre. Centre: emblems of the families. Three stars, a moon and a cock for the Luzzato (Luzzato/Lutsaṭo) family and a hand pouring water from a jug into a water basin on a three-legged table for the Levi family. This blank space has floral-design cut outs with red frames on its left and right side. Left side: a menorah with the text המנורה וכליה (the menorah and its arms). Right side: a jug in a washbasin with the text הכיור וכנו (washbasin and its jug). Left: net-design cut out bordered with a green peduncle and large red flowers. It encases an illustration of Numbers 20:11. Moses (with horns and staff) has struck a rock and now water pours out abundantly. Aaron (with mitre) stands on his right side. The Children of Israel stand around them and are impatient to reach the water. In both picture with Moses and Aaron, they are depicted twice as large as the Children of Israel to mark the difference in hierarchy.
Above the text of the ketubah, within the blue frame and outside the red frame: Top right corner: net-design cut out showing Joseph and Potiphar’s wife. Potiphar’s wife sits in bed naked and grabs Joseph’s cloak with one hand. Top left corner: cut out showing Jacob’s ladder. Jacob lies on the ground sleeping while three angels descend from the ladder to watch him.
Right side of the blue frame: Depictions of six of the twelve Zodiac signs, each on a net-design cut out bordered by a green peduncle with red and blue flowers. From top to bottom: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo.
Left side of the blue frame: Continuation of the twelve Zodiac signs showing the last six signs, each on a net-design cut out bordered by a green peduncle with red and blue flowers. From top to bottom: Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.
Bottom of ketubah (from right to left) Right: net-design cut out showing Adam, Eve and the serpent. They eat the fruits from the forbidden tree. The scene is bordered by a blue coloured window-shaped motif. Centre: net-design cut out showing Solomon’s Judgment. Crowned Solomon sits on a throne, at his feet lies the child and his ‘mothers’ sit facing Solomon. The top of the scene shows Solomon holding the child upside down, ready to cut it in half. The scene is bordered by a grey coloured ornamental motif. On its right and left side are green peduncles with large red flowers and two large birds. The birds are each other’s exact reflection. Left: net-design cut out showing the Binding of Isaac. Isaac lays bound on an altar, Abraham has one hand on Isaac’s head and with the other hand he holds the raised knife. But he is stopped by an angel from heaven, providing him with a ram to sacrifice instead. The scene is bordered by a blue coloured window-shaped motif.

"
