[Archivist Lieutenant-Colonel William Henry Clement Le Hardy (1889-1961). According to letters in the Library correspondence (ref. JRL/4/1/1953/LeHardy), the group of documents were transferred via Le Hardy from Hertfordshire County Record Office to the John Rynalds Library in 1953. They had been donated to the Record Office but no further provenance information is known. The group comprised 2 Latin, 6 Italian, 1 German, 1 Hebrew and 3 Arabic documents."
