It appears that the original was inserted in an impression of the Epistles of St. Jerom. ...\". The hand bill described by Dibdin is UML 3266.1. \"Mr. Bernhart\" presumably was Johann Baptist Bernhart (1759-1821), librarian of the Court Library in Munich.<\/p><p>In his 'A bibliographical antiquarian and picturesque tour in France and Germany', 2nd ed. (London, 1829), Thomas Frognall Dibdin says in his description of a visit to the public library in Munich: \"But a still greater curiosity, in my estimation, was a small leaf, by way of advertisement, containing a list of publications issuing from the press of a printer whose name has not yet been discovered, and attached apparently to a copy of the Fortalitium Fidei; in which it was found. Luckily there was a duplicate of this little broadside - or advertisement - and I prevailed upon the curators, or rather upon M. Bernhard (whose exclusive property it was) to part with this Sibylline leaf, containing only nineteen lines, for a copy of the Aedes Althorpianae - as soon as that work should be published. Of course, this is secured for the library in St. James's Place\". The library in St. James's Place was the 2nd Earl Spencer's library in Spencer House, London.<\/p>"
