Wood-block printed, commercial map of the seven islands of Izu province, in Japanese, one sheet, folded, in print colour, no fixed orientation. The title is reported in the upper right section of the map, with the subtitle \"zōtei\" (revised and expanded), and is also repeated in a mounted coved label. The text under the title specifies that the item also maps eighty uninhabited islands and the coast of the provinces of Sagami, Musashi, Awa, and Shimousa. Under the title, there's a list of explanatory notes, complete with a legend, and the name of the author appears as Tōjō Shinkō 東条信耕, an alias for Tōjō Kindai (1795-1878). The preface, signed by Nagayama Kan 長山貫 (an alias for Nagayama Chōen, active 1849-1864), dates the item to Tenpō 13 (1842), but the map otherwise lacks a colophon. In the lower left section, there's a list of collaborators, from the same school as the author: Abe Yoshitō (from Edo), Takada Shinshō (from Izu) and Sobajima Seishin (from Hirosaki).
