<p style='text-align: justify;'>Copy by Mary Hamilton of a note written by Queen Charlotte ‘in a blank leaf of a Book she did me the honour of giving’. The inscription notes that Baron Haller, the author of the book, ‘intended the contents of this Book for his Daughters happiness; I cannot claim the title of Parent, but as friend, I give this work to Miss Hamilton, as proof how truly I interest myself in Hers’.</p>
