He writes that he cannot imagine that Hamilton would believe that he would 'wish to place her under any restraint upon any Acc[oun]t whatever'. He is most affectionately attached to his sisters, 'yet if their residence with his amiable Wife will be unpleasing to her – he will be the last person in the World to make such a Request'.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Hamilton did not marry Dickenson until the following year.</p>
