Note from John Hope to Mary Hamilton. He writes that Hamilton's friendship has made her say 'about one third more than I would have done for myself' – probably a whole page. The writing comes from a 'young & susceptible Heart, I let it pass'. He continues that his prayers attend Hamilton whilst 'you sleep & when you wake – Milton'.
