The Mary Hamilton Papers

Note from John Fisher to Mary Hamilton. He is sorry that he did not see Hamilton that morning as he wished to present her with a petition on behalf of his brother. He writes that 'as a Patron of the Arts' Hamilton would have no 'objection to grant'. His brother has almost finished a Landscape in oil which he wishes to 'ornament with some Castle' and he remembers seeing a picture of a castle amongst Hamilton's pictures which he would like to use for his own drawing and has asked to borrow it for a few days.

Dated at St James's [London].
