<p style='text-align: justify;'>Note from Mary Hamilton to Charles de Guiffardière, relating to Hamilton’s resignation from court. She writes that when ‘the family quit Windsor, I quit the family [...] [and she hopes that she will] only leave friends’. She notes that the princesses are not to know of this.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>On the other side of the sheet is a note from de Guiffardière to Hamilton, transcribed as HAM/1/14/62(2). One is clearly a reply to the other, but it is not clear which way round.</p>
