The Mary Hamilton Papers

Letter from Lady Frances Harpur to Mary Hamilton. The letter relates to Lady Mansfield who Harpur believes is angry with her 'without cause'. Harpur suggests that Lady Mansfield may have already told Hamilton the cause which concerns a paper which Lady Mansfield wishes her (and others) to sign 'for the protection of the Estate in Wales from the Debts of our late Bro[ther] Charles' thus allowing her to quickly finish the business in Chancery by an amicable agreement. The letter continues on this subject.

Dated at Lavington House, [Sussex].
