The Mary Hamilton Papers

Letter from Eleonia Bowie [a servant of Lady Herries] to Mary Hamilton. She writes with news from France, which was more 'favourable then any we have had for some time', relating to the Herrieses' health. She notes that Miss Foote is with them and that she too continues to improve. Bowie is concerned that Herries is suffering from fatigue as her maid has been 'dangerously ill and still continues very low and weak'. Bowie ends her letter noting that the family will not be returning home as soon as she had hoped.

Dated at St James's Street, [London].
