The Mary Hamilton Papers

Letter from Lady Catherine Herries to Mary Hamilton. She has passed Hamilton's invitation to Mrs Jones and her family but notes that unfortunately she is unable to accept the invitation as they are expecting visitors the day before. Herries also informs Hamilton that the man who tunes instruments for Bailey(?) lives near Buxton in Chapel le Frith and Herries has been told that Hamilton knows his name and address.

Dated at Buxton, [Derbyshire].
