She is unable to see her before dinner but asks whether her family can come to them and 'dine with us in a family way'. If this is not possible, at least spend the evening with them. She also offers her to stay with them if they need accommodation.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>The note has been placed earlier in the sequence as Herries writes from London rather than Cheltenham.</p>
