The Mary Hamilton Papers

Letter from Louisa Murray, Lady Stormont, to Mary Hamilton. She is ashamed to ask Hamilton to visit her without her maid but she knows that she ‘is not a helpless sort of person’ so she hopes that it will not be too great an inconvenience and that she will have use of one of her maids for her visit. Stormont’s space is limited and notes that it is unfortunate that Hamilton cannot bring her daughter and hopes that she is comfortable about leaving her.

Dated at Little Grove.
