Letter from Mary Anne Napier [later Lady Napier] to Mary Hamilton. She had not heard from Hamilton for some time and was beginning to feel uneasy about her and is happy to find that she is well. She and her husband wish to help with her care and to add to their own amusement by inviting her to stay with them for a few weeks in Buxton where they have come for the benefit of William Napier's health. The waters will be good for the spirits and ‘twenty different disorders’.

Dated at Buxton [Derbyshire].
