The Mary Hamilton Papers

Letter from Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier, to Mary Hamilton. He says that if Hamilton had been his wife he would have applied for a divorce and asks whether her husband hasn't the right to fall down the stairs whenever he likes, without her worrying herself. He continues the joshing of John Dickenson as a henpecked husband, but turns more seriously to Hamilton's pregnancy. The letter closes with affectionate messages to both of them, after some comments on other relatives.
