<p style='text-align: justify;'>Letter from Harriet de Salis to Mary Hamilton. She has received a letter from her sister that day asking her to write to Hamilton to inform her that she is happy to close with Gilpin's last proposal [regarding negotiations over a house (see HAM/1/21/20)] at Horcliff 'for his life'. Salis notes that her sister is so desirous of getting a house, particularly one close to de Salis's own house. She also writes of Holborn, Henry Jerome de Salis's cold and with general news.</p>
