Early Photography
<p style='text-align: justify;'> A collection of 113 monochrome photographic prints, mounted on paper, and bound in an album. These are photographs of places in Sydney, and of friends and colleagues at the Sydney Royal Mint, taken or compiled by William Stanley Jevons during the 1850s. Between 1854-1859 Jevons was employed as Assayer at the Sydney Royal Mint and also carried out detailed social surveys of the city's slums. </p>
