<p style='text-align: justify;'>Eduard Kaiser explains to Gustav the difference between "das" and "daß" and tells Gustav about one of the Barchewitz children who reminds him of him. He tells him that since leaving Breslau he has not been exercising or play-fighting the way he used to with Gustav and that everybody is keen to meet him because they have heard from Kaiser about his bravery.</p>
