<p style='text-align: justify;'>Herrmann and Minna Simon are writing to their son Heinrich after a recent family meeting in Ohlau, a town located between Breslau and Brieg and home of Heinrich’s aunt Louise Bock. They urge Heinrich to apply himself diligently to his schoolwork. Herrmann reminds his son to control his hot temper. Minna is looking forward to having her son home over the summer holidays. Julie Simon adds a brief greeting.</p>
