<p style='text-align: justify;'>Herrmann Simon expresses his pleasure at Heinrich’s recent letter and hopes to hear good reports from the head, Schmieder. He is looking forward to having Heinrich at home over the summer holidays. The letter includes numerous items of gossip, including that Lütke and Jacob Lewald are about to set off for a lengthy stay at Carlsbad. Minna Simon is speculating that the family might spend the summer at the Kuhs’ residence in nearby Magnitz. Auguste and Hermine are receiving spa treatments. Minna Simon adds a brief greeting, enquiring about her son’s health, appetite and exercise. </p>
