<p style='text-align: justify;'>Julie gives her brother Heinrich an update on the local and family gossip in Breslau, including the return of a neighbour’s son and the christening of one of the servants’ children. She expects that she will be leaving school in the near future, having already missed out on a lot of lessons. This includes missing religious lessons, which may delay her confirmation. Minna Simon adds a paragraph with greetings and an apology for wrongly chiding Heinrich for not writing home.</p>
