<p style='text-align: justify;'>Minna Simon tells her son Heinrich that she is surprised that he will shortly be confirmed. She explains that his father cannot be there and that she may not be able to attend. She grants Heinrich’s wish for new clothes and reminds him of the importance of moral rectitude, which she expects in return. Julie Simon provides family and town gossip, including news of their aunt Louise Bock and her son Emil, who is struggling with his health.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Note(s):</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This letter was most likely written and sent with item SIM/1/96, dated 4 July 1820.</p>
