<p style='text-align: justify;'>Minna’s letter to her son on his 15th birthday reveals her anxieties regarding his moral compass. Through the letter she seeks to exert significant psychological pressure upon him to lead a good and upright life. She sends him a new waistcoat and braces and remarks that she wanted to fulfil his wishes even though he did not really need a new waistcoat.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Note(s):</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This letter was written and sent with SIM/1/107 and SIM/1/109, dated 26-27 October 1820.</p>
