<p style='text-align: justify;'>In her letter to her son Heinrich, Minna Simon describes a visit to an acquaintance in a village outside Breslau and remembers her late daughter Emilie, who was born in May. She sends a hat for Schmieder’s wife and some items of clothing for Heinrich. Julie Simon adds a brief greeting.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Note(s):</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>In the bound volume, the letter SIM/1/245a is inserted in between the pages of the letter SIM/1/245, separating it into two parts. With the second part being the address envelope to SIM/1/245, an artificial number is given: SIM/1/245(b).</p>
