Excerpt(s) from Heinrich Simon's travel diary (Sept 1825) (SIM/2/124:39-40)
In his travel diary Heinrich Simon describes the short stay at Eisleben, where he and his fellow travellers drink to his sister Auguste’s birthday, as well as to Luther and Schmieder who were born in Eisleben. They visit the house in which Luther was born and the local church, before setting off on their tour of the Harz mountains.
