He points out the hardship that this is causing. Julie Simon tells her brother the latest family gossip and news about the Lütke children whose lives are affected by the insolvency. Minna Simon admits to being shaken by recent events, which have left her feeling unwell. Ludowika writes about her return to school and Gustav adds a brief greeting.</p>
