<p style='text-align: justify;'>In his draft letter to his old tutor Eduard Kaiser in Schmiedeberg, Heinrich Simon writes that he has seen an announcement in the newspaper that Kaiser’s current school is looking for a new rector, indicating that Kaiser has secured another post elsewhere. Heinrich Simon apologises that he has not written more often and asks what the new post is.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Note(s): This is the first section of the diary excerpt on page 16, which is divided into two parts: (a) and (b).</p>
