<p style='text-align: justify;'>In this draft letter to his uncle Heinrich in Berlin, Heinrich Simon informs him that he is planning to spend the next stage of his legal training away from Breslau and explains that his father has agreed to his plan on the condition that he would have strictly limited funds from the family. He outlines the merits of Brandenburg, which his fellow lawyers Rönne and Scholz have recommended.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Note(s): This is the first section of the diary excerpt on page 25, which is divided into four parts: (a), (b), (c), and (d).</p>
