<p style='text-align: justify;'>Volume 15 of the University of Manchester Rag Rag. Proceeds from the magazine were donated to various medical charities in Manchester. This year, £350 was donated to the Manchester University Settlement, Ancoats.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Features include a comedy cartoon on alcohol deficiency and a spoof history of Manchester since 38BC. There are references to anti-democratic revolution, boom and bust economics and media censorship in Italy and Germany. Cartoons show sexualised female imagery and demeaning racial stereotypes.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This volume’s comedic advertisements include Manchester Garages Ltd, Armstrongs opticians, J. H. Brown cars, the Felt Hatters’ and Trimmers’ Unions of Great Britain, W. M. Anderton engineers, the Refuge Lending Society, Psychology Publishing, Smallman’s Ltd confectionery, Copley’s wools, Fred Fearnley cars, the Co-operative Permanent Building Society, Tetley beer, Rowlands’ Bread, Robinson’s bakery, Crittall Manufacturing, Attaboy hats and others.</p>
