There are references to Oswald Mosley and Harold Macmillan. Cartoons show sexualised female imagery and demeaning racial stereotypes.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>This volume’s comedic advertisements include The Carborundum Company, District Bank, New Deansgate House, the National Coal Board, Burlington Warehouses, Crown wallpaper, British Road Services, Hatchett and Co, Granada TV, the Manchester Building Centre, St Christopher’s Trust, Senior Service tobacco and others.</p>
