<p style='text-align: justify;'>Herrmann Simon conveys to his brother Heinrich the latest news that Ludwig was taken prisoner in the fighting on 11 February 1814. Herrmann has written to his correspondent in London, requesting that he contact Perregaux, Laffitte and Company in Paris, asking them to try and establish contact with Ludwig and support him financially.</p>
