<p style='text-align: justify;'>Herrmann Simon describes the circumstances in which he acquired a position as a broker in Breslau. Although his application is opposed by the Senior Elder, Eichborn, the other electors vote unanimously for him. Herrmann hopes that this position will enable him to pay off his debts and earn a living for his family, even though it was not his first choice.</p>
