<p style='text-align: justify;'>Herrmann Simon tells his brother Heinrich that his son Heinrich is just finishing a fortnight’s stay at home in Breslau. The reason for his letter is to commend to his brother their nephew Carl Lütke, who is coming to study in Berlin. Finally, Herrmann is concerned that he has not heard from his brother’s wife Marianne for some time.</p>
