<p style='text-align: justify;'>Thin pink-buff ware pottery cup with vertical sides and flat base, decorated with four rows of impressions of sun discs and uraei (rearing cobras), with a purple-black band above and below each row; restored from fragments.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Recognisable by their distinctive bold designs, Meroitic pottery often incorporating Egyptian motifs. These vessels attest to the close contacts between Egypt and its southern neighbours during the Graeco-Roman Period.</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Griffith's type LXXV O</p><p style='text-align: justify;'>Meroitic cemetery, grave 2091, object 10, with nos.8465-7</p>
