<p style='text-align: justify;'>This openwork panel probably derives from a coffin or funerary bier. It shows the goddess Isis stretching her wings protectively behind her husband Osiris, the god of rebirth. He is shown on a smaller scale and hieroglyphs spell out his name. The distinctive artistic style resembles those from the Graeco-Roman Period cemetery of Tuna el-Gebel in Middle Egypt, suggesting an origin for this previously unprovenanced piece.</p>
