<p style='text-align: justify;'>Wooden writing board, one of a pair that would be hinged together to protect the writing surface inside. Four holes for the pins of the hinges remain; traces of an ink inscription.These small tablets have a shallow depression for wax, which could be etched with a stylus or pen and easily corrected or wiped clean. They may have been used for writing practice or for carrying messages.</p>
