<p style='text-align: justify;'>Original painting of 'The Year of Release is at Hand' by Edward Henry Corbould. An enslaved family kneeling in front of a large piece of stone with the name 'Wilberforce' carved on it. There are broken chains and shackles lying next to them and a scroll with the words 'Emancipation' and the names of 'Clarkson', 'Suffield' and 'Buxton'. Engraved by Timothy Stansfeld Engleheart. <a target='_blank' class='externalLink uom-purple' href='https://www.digitalcollections.manchester.ac.uk/view/MS-ENGLISH-00415-00196-B/1'>English MS 415/196b</a>, was used as the frontispiece to the book.</p>
