  • Physical Description:

    Made of small blue and white beads, with seven cowrie shells attached to its end. The central part contains a piece of fabric (and probably a piece of alum wrapped), covered with beads. Size of pendant: 50mm x 50mm.

  • Decoration:

    Two double strings of small blue and white beads converge into a central piece. The central piece consists of fabric covered with blue and white beads, forming four cross patterns. Additionally, there are seven triangular shapes made of blue beads attached to the central piece, with each triangular shape tied to a cowrie shell.

  • Acquisition: Acquired by The John Rylands Library from the heirs of Moses Gaster in 1954.
