    This item is glued into a notebook and only one side of it is visible.

  • Shape: rectangle
  • Script:

    Hebrew Sephardi cursive scripts.

  • Layout: A single column, except for six equilateral triangles formed by a biblical verse (Song of Songs 7:6) that gradually diminish, a 4x7 table with letters in it, and a Magen David.
  • Decoration:

    A Magen David that contains in its centre the name שפי, and three letters in its angles that form the name שדי. Some abbreviations and divine names are marked with straight overlines with circles at the edges.

  • Acquisition: Acquired by The John Rylands Library from the heirs of Moses Gaster in 1954.
  • Date of Acquisition: 1954
