    Such amulets were printed in Vilnius during the 19th century, and are known to circulate and printed also in Jerusalem and London during the 20th century. For similar amulets see Gaster Amulet 138 and Gaster Amulet 147.

    This item is glued into a notebook and only one side of it is visible.

    Printed Hebrew Ashkenazi square script.

  • Layout: Psalm 121 is in a single column. Underneath, a table of two cells containing the formula אדם וחוה פנימה, and the divine names שדי קרע שטן. The biblical patriarchs and matriarchs are listed on the right side of this table. Portions of three biblical verses are displayed on the left side.
  • Acquisition: Acquired by The John Rylands Library from the heirs of Moses Gaster in 1954.
