The Hafṭarot (Prophetic readings) are indicated in the outer margins. At the top and bottom of the pages, there are liturgical comments in Judeo-Arabic.
Foliation on first two folios is not visible (called folio 1 and folio 1A in digital surrogate). Hebrew foliation at the top outer corner of side a of each folio, starting from 2 [ב]. Foliation from 273 to 276 added by a later hand.

Water and fire damage on the edges. The first folios have been repared. Several quires are coming loose. Sewing fragile, front board detached from text block, spine exposed. Folio 76 torn.

Brown leather binding with diamond-shaped blind-tooling decoration. Use of jute cloth in spine. Sewn on three raised cords. Remains of leather strips attached to boards for fastening. Modern brown leather box with gold letters on spine reading in English: "Gaster / 673".
