The Rylands Haggadah. Passover Haggadah of the Sephardi rite, with piyuṭim for the Passover week and the Sabbath before Passover, with marginal commentary. A richly illustrated and decorated manuscript produced in Spain (probably Catalonia) in the mid-14th century. The pictorial cycle extends from the beginning of the Book of Exodus to the roasting of the Passover lamb. Unusually, the Biblical cycle is followed by an illustration of a Passover celebration.
