Persian Manuscripts : An album of paintings and calligraphic specimens.

Persian Manuscripts

This album features two Persian and Arabic calligraphy specimens, a painting attributed to Kishangarh, two composite drawings, and a fragment of a folio detached from a historical Persian work, all probably from India. The final folio bears the seal impression of Sir Elijah Impey (1732–1809), hence the others may also possibly be from his collection, although reassembled into its present state and rebound in an Ottoman-style silk brocade for a subsequent owner.
