The Farhang-i Jahāngīrī (Dictionary of Jahāngīr), a Persian lexicon compiled, and dedicated to the Mughal emperor Jahāngīr (b. 1542, r. 1605–1626) by Ḥusayn ibn Ḥasan Injū Shīrāzī (d. ca. 1626) in 1603. It relates definitions for ancient Avestan and Middle Persian words and found in Zoroastrian sacred texts and commentaries, as well as metaphorical and technical terms, and those of composite and foreign origin. This complete copy, albeit undated and unsigned, probably dates to the 18th century India.
